River King Outfitters sits on 120 acres of our own private land, located right on the Nushagak River. We offer semi-guided fishing for groups as large as 18 people. Our fleet consists of boats that can accommodate 2 to 5 guests per boat. Private cabins range from 2 to 6 guests per cabin and offer built in bunks with power to each cabin. At camp you can enjoy plenty of bank or fly fishing, grab some grub, a hot shower, sauna, or sit by a fire with a beverage and compare your catch-of-the-day, all while our crew does the cleaning, preparing, and fish packing for you! RKO is all-inclusive which includes lodging, boats, gear, tackle, bait, meals, snacks and fish processing. Other included amenities are hot showers, steam sauna, bank fishing area, fire pit and a social lounge. We are 12 miles upstream from the village of Portage Creek where the majority of the other lodges and fish camps are located, making our camp isolated for a better overall fishing experience. It allows our guests plenty of spacious river fishing with no shortage of fish but without the crowds. Our trips offer a unique opportunity for quality, remote fishing that is in high demand by D.I.Y. fishermen & women everywhere.

Our season consists of King Salmon fishing June & July and Silver Salmon in August. You can find our current dates and availability by visiting our 2024 schedule.

Upon arrival at camp, your group will be given a full orientation on the river by one of our professional licensed fishing guides. Our guides will teach you everything you need to know about catching fish and operating the boat on our stretch of the Nushagak River. Once you are comfortable, we turn our boat over to your group to have the freedom of fishing on your own schedule for as many hours a day as you would like. With up to 20 hours of daylight, fish as much or as little as your body can take! You will not find another lodge on the Nushagak River that provides this level of service to D.I.Y. fishermen.
