Semi Guided Alaska Salmon Fishing!

Our semi-guided customers start off the trip with a full orientation from a pro guide, you will be shown everything you need to know about operating the boat, where & how to catch the salmon your after on The Nushagak River. Once you are comfortable with the boat operations & we have you catching fish, we turn the boat over to your group & you get to be in charge of your own schedule & boat. Want to get up early & fish for a few hours before breakfast? No problem! Want to go out after dinner & fish until midnight? No problem! It's your boat & your schedule once we give you your orientation. At any time if you have any difficulty's what so ever, our pro guides are always there for your support. We are the only outfitter on The Nushagak River that provides this type of package that is highly preferred by experienced fishermen.

$1995 per person for 6 days and 5 nights - Airfare and gratuities not included. ( Daily rates in camp are available for resident Alaskans.)

Additional Expense: Semi guided customers will be responsible for the cost of boat fuel. On average for a group of 4 people, the fuel expense of the boat your on will run about $40 per person at the end of your trip. This may fluctuate depending on how much sight seeing your group chooses to do over the course of the trip. You can choose to burn as little or as much fuel as you want depending on how much of the river you want to see. Most customers choose not to travel more than 2 miles above or below camp on the river. We have some of the most productive fishing holes on the river right in front of camp.

How many days will I be in camp & how many days can I fish?

You will be in camp for 6 days & 5 nights. You will arrive into camp on day one in the morning via float plane, you will then have 5 full days of fishing. Day 6 is your last morning in camp, on this day all your fish, luggage & gear will be prepared for your transport back to Dillingham. Day 6 is not a fishing day, you will be transported back to Dillingham in the AM via float plane. You can then proceed to the airport for your early afternoon flight home or you may wish to overnight in Dillingham.

When & where do I fly into?

You will need to book a ticket from your home to Dillingham, AK. Plan on arriving a day early before the start date of your trip. You should plan on spending the night in Dillingham in one of the many B&B's or local hotel. The next morning on your starting date at River King Outfitters you will be picked up by the float plane company and they will transport you to the float plane. You will then be flown that morning from Dillingham to River King Outfitters. River King Outfitters will arrange all the logistic details of your float plane transportation, you will be responsible for the fee of the plane. On average this cost runs about $150 per person each way to & from camp but may be slightly less or more depending on logistics.
